Return & Exchange Policy

1. Overview

At Karané, we want you to love every purchase. If something doesn’t work out, this policy explains how you can return or exchange a product purchased from karane.in. By placing an order on the Website, you agree to the terms of this Return & Exchange Policy.

2. Exchange Policy

  • Size exchanges may be requested within seven (7) calendar days from the date of delivery.
  • The item must be unused, unwashed, and unworn, with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact.
  • A non-refundable exchange handling fee of ₹99 applies per order (charged once, regardless of the number of items exchanged).
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested size or variant is unavailable, a store credit of equivalent value will be issued.
  • Only one exchange request is permitted per item. Second exchanges on the same item are not accepted.

3. Return Policy

  • Returns are accepted within seven (7) calendar days from the date of delivery.
  • All eligible returns are processed as store credits only — no cash refunds, bank transfers, or refunds to the original payment method will be issued.
  • The item must be in its original, unused condition with all tags, labels, and packaging intact.
  • A clear photograph of the item (showing condition and tags) must be uploaded when initiating the return request. All returns are subject to quality verification before approval.
  • Original shipping charges and COD fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from the store credit amount.
  • A non-refundable return handling fee of ₹99 applies per order (charged once, irrespective of the number of items returned).
  • Partial returns are permitted — the ₹99 fee is charged once per order, not per item.

4. Reverse Pickup & Self-Shipping

  • Reverse Pickup: Available in most serviceable PIN codes. Once your return is approved, a pickup will be scheduled at your address within 3–5 business days. No additional charge applies beyond the ₹99 handling fee.
  • Self-Shipping: If reverse pickup is unavailable in your area, you may self-ship the item to our return address (provided upon approval). Shipping costs of up to ₹200 will be reimbursed as store credit upon submission of the courier receipt/proof of shipment.
  • Items must be dispatched within three (3) business days of return approval. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the return request.

5. Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances:

  • Items that have been used, washed, altered, or damaged by the customer.
  • Intimate wear, innerwear, and swimwear (for hygiene reasons).
  • Customised, personalised, or made-to-order products.
  • Products from which original tags, labels, or packaging have been removed.
  • Items purchased during clearance or final-sale promotions (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
  • Gift cards and store credits.

6. Store Credit Refunds

  • All eligible refunds — including those for COD orders and prepaid orders — are issued exclusively as store credits.
  • Store credits are valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance. Expired credits are automatically forfeited and cannot be reinstated.
  • Credits can be applied towards any future purchase on karane.in during checkout.
  • Store credits are non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash or applied to another account.
  • Your available store credit balance can be viewed in your account under My Account → Store Credits.

7. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

  1. Log in to your account at karane.in/account and navigate to My Orders.
  2. Locate the order containing the item(s) you wish to return or exchange and click “Return / Exchange”.
  3. Select the reason for return, specify whether you want an exchange or store credit, and upload clear photographs of the item.
  4. Our team will review your request and respond via email within 24–48 hours.
  5. Upon approval, a reverse pickup will be scheduled or self-shipping instructions will be provided.
  6. Store credit will be issued within 3–5 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

8. Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please initiate a return through your account within 48 hours of delivery with photographs clearly showing the issue (damage, defect, or wrong item received). In such cases:

  • The ₹99 handling fee will be waived.
  • Reverse pickup will be arranged at no additional cost.
  • You will receive a full store credit or a replacement (subject to availability), at your choice.
  • If neither replacement nor store credit is acceptable, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis to reach a fair resolution.

9. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before they are shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation is not possible — you will need to initiate a return after delivery. To request cancellation, contact us at support@karane.in with your order number.

10. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a return or exchange request, please escalate the matter by writing to support@karane.in. We will review your case and respond within seven (7) business days with a resolution.
